The Oceangate Internal Report Provided To Them By A Navy Reservist (7/10/23)
Oceangate hired a Navy Reservist to inspect their vessel in 2018 and according to the report, the reservist found several issues with the vessel, but nothing that would lead to a catastrophic failure. However, it was once again pointed out in the report how carbonfibre at those depths is not reliable to stand up to the pressure and how if there was going to be an issue, it would likely originate with the hull.
In this episode, we hear from that reservist and get a look at what the report he compiled for the company contained.
