The Lawsuit Against JP Morgan Moves Closer To Becoming A Class Action Suit (5/28/23)
As the battle in the USVI continues to rage on, Judge Rakoff seems to be moving towards allowing this case to be certified as a class action suit. If that happens, it makes things that much more difficult for JP Morgan to settle, because there will now be 100's of claimants that will be need to be made whole.
Judge Rakoff says he will make a ruling in June on the matter, but it certainly would seem that the decision has already been made and that JP Morgan is going to be facing a much bigger problem moving forward.
