In 2012 two cousins went out for a bike ride in Evansdale, Iowa. They were never seen alive again. After five months of searching, their remains were found by hunters. Since that day, police have been searching for a murderer. Yet all these years and there have still been no arrests. However, in light of the recent developments in Delphi with an arrest being made in the case and serious movement, the father of one of the girls murdered in Iowa has renewed hope that justice will one day be had for his murdered child as well.
When asked about the likelihood of the two cases being connected, he only put it at a small percentage, but didn't rule it out. Investigators for their part say that they are aware of the arrest of Allen in Delphi and are monitoring the situation but have not provided any more than that.
While the chances are slim that the two cases are related, hopefully the renewed interest in the case in Evansdale will finally unearth some clues that lead to an arrest.
