Drug cartel activity and human smuggling have become tragically commonplace for many Texas communities.\xa0Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham says Texans are deeply frustrated with the situation at their southern border, a situation she describes as "frightening."\xa0\nThere is a \u201ctremendous loss of life with the increase in crime\u201d at the southern border, Buckingham says, adding, \u201cWe\u2019re going to do everything we possibly can, but unfortunately it is sort of trying to trap water in a sieve.
