It is impossible to exaggerate the effect his debut film, Breathless, had on the world of Film. From Peter Bogdanovich and Martin Scorcesse, to Quinten Tarantino, Wong Kar Wai and Steven Soderberg, Godard has inspired generations of filmmakers and it all began with Breathless.
