Why The Loss of Stephen "tWitch" Boss Hit Us So Hard - 927
I can\u2019t say that I\u2019ve ever seen the world react to a celebrity passing the way we have to the untimely death by suicide of Stephen "tWitch" Boss. Personally, the last two days have given me the gift of a new perspective. I am changed because of it. I see things differently. I will never ask \u201cwhy?\u201d or \u201chow could they do that?\u201d again.\xa0
Yes, we need to de-stigmatize discussions around depression, anxiety and suicide ideation \u2014 but it\u2019s more than that. We need to educate those of us who don\u2019t understand it so we can show up differently. We have to lift the shame and guilt that people feel when they experience depression.\xa0
There are many in this community who, in fact, felt the dark, damp heavens of depression and have generously opened up about their inner demons. Today, I'll share a few of those with you.\xa0
So, it is my hope that this episode helps those who say, \u201cIt just doesn\u2019t make sense\u201d to have a deeper appreciation and understanding. And my prayer is that it makes those of you who have been there feel seen.
