In Nebraska, the Republican state Attorney General has suddenly decided, just weeks before the election, that a decades-old law allowing former felons to regain their right to vote is now unconstitutional, and he has ordered counties to cease all voter registration for former felons. ALEX BURNESS of Bolts Magazine explains the Nebraska AG's shocking decision, its questionable legality, and its immediate effect in striking fear among former felons who are now afraid to register or vote at all over concerns they will be unjustly arrested or imprisoned.
