Voters crushed Issue 1, the GOP-controlled state legislature's deceptive scheme to trick voters into restricting their own rights by raising the threshold for passage of citizen-led statewide ballot initiatives - - a failed attempt to pre-empt a popular abortion rights amendment on the November ballot. Ohio's victory for reproductive rights is reverberating throughout the nation, that may continue into the 2024 general election.
