On today's 'BradCast':\xa0\xa0\xa0The U.S. broke another record for new daily COVID-19 infections on Thursday, for the 11th time in the last 16 days, with more than 75,000 new confirmed cases. Rightwing former game show host Chuck Woolery, in an unhinged Twitter rant earlier this week, called news about COVID-19 'outrageous lies'. But like so many wingnuts hoisted on their own idiotic social media ranting, Woolery changed his mind after his own son was diagnosed with coronavirus. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg announced she is undergoing chemotherapy and does not plan to retire from the Court. Donald Trump's grant of executive clemency to his long time pal, GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone, is not over -- due to a new motion filed in district court by good government group, Free Speech For People. BEN CLEMENTS, a former federal prosecutor, joins us to explain their motion, which argues that Trump's commutation of Stone's prison sentence was unconstitutional and should be overturned by Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who presided over Stone's criminal case. Stone was sentenced to 40 months in prison, after being convicted on 7 counts, including witness intimidation and lying to Congress and federal investigators in their probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Clements explains why the presidential pardon power can't be used in a criminal manner or for a corrupt purpose, and what can be done about it \u2013 not only in Stone's criminal case, with ample public evidence that this was part of an illicit bribe -- but in any potential future corrupt pardons that Trump might attempt, as well.
