Less than 72 hours after US Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 top Russian Military Intelligence officers on 11 felony indictments related to hacking into and stealing DNC and Clinton campaign emails,\xa0 President Trump tweeted: "Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!"\xa0 A few hours later on Monday, Trump held a one-on-one, private summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, followed by a remarkable press conference in which, essentially, the President of the United States took Russia's side in the matter on virtually every point.\xa0 Standing next to Putin, Trump attacked the FBI, the DNC and many other Americans. They differed on only one point:\xa0 Trump asserted Putin had denied Russia's involvement in any interference in the 2016 Presidential election, but, when asked directly by a reporter if he "direct[ed] any...officials" to help Trump, Putin admitted, "Yes, I did." Nonetheless, Trump failed to demand an explanation for any of the exceedingly detailed allegations in Mueller's Friday indictments, nor did he condemn Russia or Putin in any way.
