On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 Over the weekend, a 20-year old registered Republican unsuccessfully attempted to assassinate Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally, using the type of semi-automatic rifle that Republicans have spent years ensuring are easily accessible. President Biden and elected Democrats called for cooling the political rhetoric that has led to too many other such incidents. Elected Republicans opportunistically used the shooting to escalate their inflammatory rhetoric, blaming Democrats and attempting to chill peaceful political speech and accurate criticisms of Trump's and the Republican Party's push to undermine America's constitutional democracy in favor of autocracy and fascism. Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the stolen classified documents case against Trump for specious reasons. Trump nominated Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) as his running mate. Callers weigh in.
