On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 It would be hard to fail as thoroughly as Donald Trump's administration and his GOP-acolyte governors around the country have failed in their shambolic response to the COVID-19 crisis, even if you tried. Florida's incompetent and very Trumpy Gov. Ron DeSantis finally concedes his state is running out of rapid test kits amid an explosion of new cases after he reopened businesses far too early, but he has reneged on a pledge to publish hospitalization rates. Five months into the pandemic, new leaked documents from the Trump Administration show that dangerous shortages of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) persist across the country as cases surge, and FEMA is only able to fulfill about 30 percent of requests for front-line medical and long-term care facilities, because Trump still has not utilized the Defense Production Act to manufacture enough PPE to meet the nation's needs. So some high school seniors in Atlanta have tackled the problem: SHOURYA SETH, Chief Operating Officer for grassroots organization Project Paralink, explains how his group of friends have managed to produce, distribute, and donate more than 390,000 units of PPE to health workers at more than 1,500 locations, with the help of some corporate support and more than 1,000 volunteers, in what they describe as 'decentralization for social good' and 'localized disaster relief.'
