On today's 'BradCast': Is the dam Nancy Pelosi has erected against the tide of impeachment finally beginning to crack? Thirty progressive groups have published an open letter expressing "deep disappointment" in the Speaker for her blockade of impeachment proceedings against President Trump, and calling for "bold, moral leadership." Charles Chamberlain, Chair of Democracy for America, one of the groups that signed on, discusses the letter and responds to many of the reasons and excuses that Pelosi and other Democrats have cited for not taking action. Also today: on Trump's overseas trip, he made absurd new comments regarding climate change that made it clear he doesn't understand even basic climate science. He also made bizarre claims like the US has "the cleanest climate ever," even though air and water pollution has increased measurably since he took office, and dangerous greenhouse gas emissions are now again on the rise in the US. We do a thorough debunking. Newly published emails reveal that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) appears to have been behind the push to disseminate a bogus list falsely claiming some 100,000 "non-citizens voters" in the state, part of a scheme used by the Secretary of State earlier this year as a pretext to purge legal voters from the rolls and trigger the state's Attorney General to open criminal investigations. The list was withdrawn after thousands of voters were found to be legally registered naturalized citizens. The state is now paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars in court settlements after being sued by several groups over the bogus purge list. It now appears that the Governor may have been behind the insidious voter suppression initiative the whole time...
