Today we're joined by CENK UYGUR , host and founder of the wildly popular online news outlet 'The Young Turks' and the TYT Network, for a wide-ranging conversation on a bunch of important topics – like the chaotic mid-term primaries next week in California where, for example, 32 candidates are vying in one race for Democratic U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein's seat. But thanks to the state's "Top Two" primary system and a glut of Democrats on the ballot in many races, the progressive vote could be split in a number of those races, resulting in no Democrats qualifying for the ballot at all in some of those contests in the November general election. We also look at how both corporate and independent media ought to be covering the "insanity" of Donald Trump ("the monster in office...on fascism's doorstep"), and the ongoing internecine battle between the progressive and establishment wings of the Democratic Party.  Also today: Wages are not rising, despite Donald Trump's and the GOP's claims that the economy is supposedly doing great after their massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations passed last year. Now why would that be? Plus some encouraging news – Virginia is poised to finally expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act ("ObamaCare") to some 400,000 residents, and new polling finds a majority of young voters plan to vote in this year's mid-terms, and say they are far less Republican than the population at large...
