'BradCast' 5/21/2019 ('Our Subpoenas Are Not Optional'; More GOP Absentee Ballot Election Fraud)

On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 The Constitutional Crisis in D.C. continued to heat up today as former White House Counsel Don McGahn defied a lawful Congressional subpoena to appear for testimony before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee. A growing number of Democratic House members are pressing for an official impeachment inquiry to begin, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly maintains that an impeachment inquiry would both hold up both legislation and other investigations in the House. Trump's lawyers are appealing a federal judge's ruling ordering Donald Trump's accounting firm, Mazars USA, to turn over financial documents from Trump within the next week. Although court rulings have favored Democrats to date, the Administration clearly hopes that the appeals court or the GOP's stolen U.S. Supreme Court will change the score. Conservative Republican Rep. Justin Amash (MI) pushed back against fellow Republicans criticizing his assertions that the redacted Mueller Report reveals that Trump "engaged in impeachable conduct," with a detailed rebuttal shooting down uninformed defenses and excuses offered by Trump, Attorney General Bill Barr and other apologists. Also today:\xa0 more breaking news of yet another case of Republican absentee ballot election fraud, this time in Florida, revealing campaign supporters and organizers for a Republican candidate discussing the theft and destruction of absentee ballots of opponents. The incident offers yet more evidence that voting by mail -- unless absolutely necessary -- remains a terrible idea, but we offer ways that voters in all states can protect their votes.
