On today's 'BradCast': Donald Trump's newly-appointed and already-dishonest Attorney General William Barr testified in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee today, amid revelations that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had sent a letter to Barr charging that the AG's four-page letter to Congress mischaracterized the findings of the Special Counsel's two-year Russia probe. Mueller wrote that Barr's summary "did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office's work and conclusions," leading to "public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation." Barr took it upon himself to clear Trump of obstruction charges, even though Mueller specifically said he was unable to exonerate the President, and Barr also mischaracterized the report's findings on "collusion" with Russia. The letter contradicts Barr's sworn testimony, in which he misled members of both the House and Senate regarding Mueller's concerns about Barr's inaccurate conclusions. We air extended experts from today's hearing in which Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) charges Barr with lying to Congress, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) calls out Republican colleagues for ignoring the matter, and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) forced Barr to admit he made his decisions about obstruction without reviewing the actual evidence. Then: North Carolina writer, activist, and progressive organizer TOM SULLIVAN of Digby's Hullabaloo shares his thoughts on Barr's "stunning performance" today and how Congressional Democrats should respond; progressives' prospects in upcoming special elections for U.S. House; the roiling internecine battles between progressives and the conservative Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC); and Sullivan's "For The Win," a nuts-and-bolts training guide for county-wide Get Out The Vote operations that have successfully helped folks organize in counties all over the nation...
