On today's 'BradCast':\xa0\xa0 U.S. deaths caused by COVID-19\xa0 hit 10,000 on Monday, but there is still no plan at the federal level for dealing with the pandemic, despite the Trump Administration receiving months of warning, or to recover from the economic fallout that could reach levels as bad or worse than the Great Depression.\xa0 There is no national plan to ensure that states have all of the basic medical and protective equipment they need, or tests, or any plans for the nation to navigate out of deep economic disruption.\xa0 The $2.2 trillion relief bill hastily adopted by Congress is a mess -- paltry individual relief checks could take months to get to many Americans, and the $350 billion allocated for relief to small businesses via SBA loans was a disaster out of the gate.\xa0 DAVID DAYEN, Executive Editor of The American Prospect, joins us to explain the economic disasters now unfolding for individuals and small businesses and how the supply chain has now become an all-out "Wild West" show as states compete with each other and the Trump Administration to obtain critical supplies at sky-high prices. Dayen predicts that no more than 5% of businesses who apply to the relief bill's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) are likely to receive loans before funding is depleted; he also has a warning for those facing bankruptcy. Also today: Wisconsin Republicans succeeded in their lawsuit to force voters to risk their lives to cast a vote in person in the state's primary on Tuesday, despite a statewide 'stay at home' order.
