A new, more transmissible COVID sub-variant of Omicron, BA.2.12.1, is rising quickly around the US and the world \u2013 please get vaccinated and boosted, and resist anyone pressuring you to take off your mask indoors if you don't want to.\xa0 Vice President Kamala Harris has tested positive for COVID, and is asymptomatic. Recent data show that 'America's political divisions are now on display in mortality rates,' with COVID death rates in Florida and Georgia as much as three times higher than in blue states - - while Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis falsely claimed 'victory' for his failed COVID policies that led to thousands of unnecessary deaths. On Earth Day, Twitter announced it would ban advertisements that mislead about climate science or promote climate change denial. Then billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced he was purchasing the social media company for $44 billion. The move is more evidence that taxes are way too low for the richest Americans. But will the 'free speech absolutist' retain the prohibition on ads that monetize climate change denial as he takes the company private to use as his own personal plaything?
