On today's 'BradCast': It's almost as if Republicans WANT to become a failed, extinct political party. Republican Sen. Rick Scott of Florida said he lost a friend in the mass shooting at a Kentucky bank on Monday, but that friend might be alive today if Scott hadn't voted against gun safety reforms and restoring the federal assault weapons ban. In Tennessee, Democratic state Rep. Justin Jones was reinstated to his seat one day after state GOP lawmakers expelled the young black Nashville legislator for supporting a peaceful protest on gun safety reform. The Republicans' corrupt decision to expel two young black legislators is backfiring, galvanizing public support for them. The state's Republican House Speaker faces new scrutiny after documents show he doesn't reside in his district, as required. A court halted TN GOP lawmakers' scheme to monkey-wrench the Nashville city council and its upcoming election. Voters in Anchorage, AK elect Democrats to nearly all open seats on the city council, rejecting Republicans. In Michigan, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer repealed the state's anti-labor 'right to work' law after new, fair maps ended Republicans' egregious gerrymander of legislative districts. Chipotle must pay former employees in Maine who were unlawfully fired for filing a petition to vote on unionizing. Los Angeles school district staff won a better contract after a three-day strike. Hotels in the New York suburbs are raising wages to avoid a strike, in turn forcing non-union hotel owners to raise wages for their workers, too. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report.'
