On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 Elections have consequences, and today we have a roundup of reporting underscoring that simple fact. In good news for democracy and voting rights, Minnesota's Democratic Gov. Tim Walz signed a bill that will re-enfranchise more than 50,000 formerly incarcerated felons in Minnesota, a direct result of voters electing Democrats to a trifecta in the state in the November 2022 midterm elections. Pennsylvania has finally seated Joanna McClinton (D) as the state's first African-American female House Speaker. In Colorado, former Mesa County election clerk and election fraud conspiracist Tina Peters was convicted of obstruction for defying a lawful warrant in advance of her upcoming trial on numerous felony charges over her actions breaching her office's election security to copy sensitive election management system software. While we wait to find out if the corrupt rightwing supermajority on the US Supreme Court will strike down President Biden's lawful student loan debt forgiveness program, his administration has quietly revived a program to refund billions to students ripped off by predatory for-profit schools, which had been put on ice by the Trump Administration.
