On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 If Republicans' ideas were popular, they wouldn't have to work so hard to undermine democracy, would they?\xa0 A judge has rejected cowardly Mike Pence's attempt to escape testifying to Special Counsel Jack Smith's grand jury about Donald Trump's January 6th insurrection. In Florida, yet another white Republican was charged with voter fraud, yet wasn't hauled into jail like the people of color targeted by GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis before last year's election. The US Supreme Court let stand racially discriminatory, gerrymandered maps drawn by Kansas Republicans that intentionally dilute the power of black voters. Despite a resounding 'no' from voters in the last election, Arkansas Republicans enacted a new law that decimates voters' ability to place initiatives on the statewide ballot anyway. In Tennessee, lax gun laws allowed Monday's mass school shooter to legally amass a small arsenal despite being under psychiatric care. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) called out Republican cowards in Congress for refusing to enact basic, common-sense gun safety reforms that would make such massacres far less likely. Media outlets must inform the public that Republicans specifically - - not 'the government,' not 'Congress' - - are blocking gun safety measures and ensuring more such mass shootings will occur.
