Gavin Newsom has reportedly gained enough petition signatures to win a spot on the ballot in an upcoming election.\xa0 If the signatures are verified, there will be two questions for California voters:\xa0 should Newsom be recalled, and if so, who should replace him?\xa0 We're joined today by someone who knows a thing or two about Democratic Governors being set up for hit jobs by Republicans. Alabama's former Democratic GOV. DON SIEGELMAN has, for years, explained how his second election was stolen from him with a Diebold optical-scan tabulator in the middle of the night, and how he was subsequently (and successfully) targeted for removal by Karl Rove and GOP operatives. Siegelman, the author of 'STEALING OUR DEMOCRACY: How the Political Assassination of a Governor Threatens Our Nation', now sees a similar scheme at play in the Republican effort to take down California's first-term progressive Gov.
