Here in the U.S., change will come through voting, and even some rightwingers are beginning to grasp the perils of new, unverifiable touchscreen ballot-marking devices. Rightwing group FreedomWorks has joined the fight against the machines in Georgia, where vote-suppressing Republican Governor Brian Kemp, former Sec. of State, is lobbying state legislators hard to purchase all-new unverifiable touchscreen BMD systems at a cost of $150 million. Even a cybersecurity expert and National Security Advisor for the Trump 2020 campaign is calling for hand-marked paper ballots in Georgia. Then: STEVEN ROSENFELD of the Independent Media Foundation's Voting Booth project sounds the alarm about state Democratic Parties considering utilizing unsecure online and telephone voting to satisfy the Democratic National Committee's new requirement for caucus states to implement some form of remote voting during the 2020 primary season, for individuals who cannot attend the caucuses in person.
