On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 A very dark day in Christchurch, New Zealand, as a white supremacist unleashed a terror attack on two Muslim mosques, killing at least 49.\xa0 But it was a brighter day around the globe as inspiring "school strikes" took place in more than 120 cities, with kids walking out of class to march in protest for action on climate change. Inspired by 16-year old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg -- who began her own solitary school strike last year and is now nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize \u2013 massive throngs of young protesters marched, demanding action from politicians to act on dangerous man-made global warming. Here in the U.S., change will come through voting, and even some rightwingers are beginning to grasp the perils of new, unverifiable touchscreen ballot-marking devices. Rightwing group FreedomWorks has joined the fight against the machines in Georgia, where vote-suppressing Republican Governor Brian Kemp, former Sec. of State, is lobbying state legislators hard to purchase all-new unverifiable touchscreen BMD systems at a cost of $150 million. Even a cybersecurity expert and National Security Advisor for the Trump 2020 campaign is calling for hand-marked paper ballots in Georgia. Then: STEVEN ROSENFELD of the Independent Media Foundation's Voting Booth project sounds the alarm about state Democratic Parties considering utilizing unsecure online and telephone voting to satisfy the Democratic National Committee's new requirement for caucus states to implement some form of remote voting during the 2020 primary season, for individuals who cannot attend the caucuses in person. Rosenfeld explains how similar recent efforts at such voting schemes have failed spectacularly, and how it could very well be a looming disaster for Democrats in 2020 caucus states. With an already-complicated caucus system and 20+ candidates, amid the most important election of our lives hanging in the balance, what could possibly go wrong?
