On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 A top New York State election official has finally acknowledged a serious new "design flaw" in the state's already-certified computer voting system, after warnings by computer security and voting systems experts of a potential "ballot stuffing attack" vector embedded in computer Ballot Marking Device (BMD) voting systems. Professor RICHARD DEMILLO, former Dean of Georgia Tech's Information Security Center, explains the stunning vulnerability that allows the Dominion-made voting machine to print additional votes on a ballot after it has been reviewed and by the voter. The vulnerability renders any computer-marked "paper ballots" completely "worthless" for a post-election audit, and the same flaw appears to be present in systems in use or being set for use in counties in Kansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Delaware and elsewhere as jurisdictions rush to "upgrade" their voting systems to new equipment in advance of the 2020 Presidential election. A "Permission to Cheat" flaw, similar to that which has now been effectively decertified in NY, also appears to be in the new $150 million system currently being pushed by Republicans, vendors and elections officials for the entire state of Georgia over the repeated warnings of computer security and voting systems experts.\xa0 Also today: Donald Trump's Fiscal Year 2020 budget proposal released today includes massive cuts to domestic programs like Medicaid and Medicare (which he previously vowed to protect), the EPA and other federal agencies, while proposing a record increase in defense spending plus an additional $8.6 billion for his border wall (which Mexico is still not paying for). If adopted by Congress, Trump's aspirational budget would ensure annual budget deficits of at least $1 trillion each year over the next four years, thanks in part to the Trump-GOP $1.5 trillion tax cut for the wealthy and corporations.
