A New York judge has rejected an attempt by Fox 'News' and a number of their top anchors to dismiss a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit, filed by voting system company Smartmatic, over the cable network's repeated broadcasting of patently absurd allegations about the 2020 election, citing 'reckless disregard for the truth'.\xa0 New data shows that in the Texas primary last week, an extraordinary 27,000 mail ballots were rejected, from both Democrats and Republican voters, under the state's new voter suppression law. The law was passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature to erect new barriers to voting in response to fake concern over Trump's false claims about a stolen 2020 election.
