On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 Police in Canada have finally arrested and cleared a group of long-haul truckers who had blockaded the international border crossing at the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit. Fueled by rightwing media coverage and funding from the U.S., the protesters claim they object to vaccine mandates and other pandemic public health measures, but the protests don't actually appear to have anything to do with 'civil rights' and have quickly morphed to include a number of rightwing causes, with the protesters waving Nazi, Confederate and Trump flags. Global oil prices are spiking amid escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine, as over the weekend Russia increased its troop presence to\xa0 more than 130,000 on three sides of Ukraine.\xa0 Ukraine's president warned his countrymen to be ready for an invasion as early as this week. The U.S. says that diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but a Russian invasion is 'imminent.' Russia denies that it plans to invade its former Soviet state.\xa0 No one really seems to know what is happening now or will happen next. Is Russia really going to invade? Are other undercurrents at play?\xa0 Callers weigh in on all of the above.
