In Brazil, thousands of supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro stormed government buildings in a January 6-MAGA-style attempted coup. In the U.S. House on the anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, GOP leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy made massive concessions to extreme rightwing Republicans to allow him to win the House Speakership. We discuss several of his concessions, and what they are likely to mean for the country going forward, with the nation's debt ceiling and more hanging in the balance. Republicans vow to use their razor-thin majority to investigate Joe Biden's family and other evidence-free claims mis-reported by rightwing media, including the 'Twitter Files.'
