On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 One year after disgraced former president Donald Trump attempted to steal the 2020 election by hurling the bodies of his supporters at the U.S. Capitol, the New York Times Editorial Board has declared, 'Every Day Is Jan. 6 Now.' Trump has cancelled his planned press conference on the first anniversary of his pathetic and deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol. The U.S. House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capital Insurrection has politely invited Fox 'News' host and Trump personal friend Sean Hannity to testify under oath. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, in a speech describing the hundreds of Justice Department Jan. 6 investigations now underway, vowed to 'follow the facts' and hold 'all Jan. 6 perpetrators, at any level, accountable under law -- whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy.' Garland also highlighted the U.S. Supreme Court's gutting of the Voting Rights Act, and called on Congress to pass critical voting rights reform legislation to give DOJ the tools to protect the right to vote and combat state legislatures that are institutionalizing the ability to subvert election results on partisan whims.
