Today on 'The BradCast': Before she delivers the Democratic response to the State of the Union address on Tuesday, Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams will debut a new ad during Sunday's Super Bowl in Atlanta calling for HAND-MARKED paper ballots in the state, sponsored by her non-partisan voting rights organization Fair Fight Georgia. But Georgia Republicans are inexplicably pushing instead to replace the state's hackable, 100 percent unverifiable touchscreen voting systems with a new, very expensive, also 100 percent unverifiable touchscreen system that produces unverifiable bar-coded paper ballots, rather than hand-marked paper ballots that computer science and voting systems experts all agree to be the most secure way to conduct and verify elections.\xa0 In the U.S. Senate, Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell lied about the Democrats' major election reform bill, HR-1, which would mandate universal automatic voter registration, expanded early voting, ending partisan gerrymandering, making Election Day a federal holiday and yes, a HAND-MARKED paper ballot for every voter. Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer urged Trump's top intelligence chiefs to "stage an intervention" after Trump lashed out at them for contradicting his false claims on North Korea, Iran, ISIS, Syria Afghanistan, and his imagined "national emergency" at the U.S. -Mexico border. If Schumer really wants to "stage an intervention" with this President, Democrats in the Senate and House could be calling for an immediate impeachment inquiry, as explained by Ernest Canning at Bradblog.com. Also today:\xa0 McConnell allowed a bipartisan, non-binding resolution that (gently) rebukes the President on both Syria and Afghanistan to pass in the Senate. Plus Desi Doyen has the latest 'Green News Report,' on the record bone-chilling Polar Vortex, evidence that Trump's intervention in Venezuela is about oil, and some good news out of Germany, which is quitting coal entirely....
