On today's 'BradCast': Florida Republicans are brazenly stripping elected Democratic election officials of power and their jobs in advance of the 2020 election. Florida's new Secretary of State Mike Ertel, appointed by new Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, resigned after photos surfaced of him dressed in blackface, mocking Hurricane Katrina victims. Now DeSantis has used false pretexts to force out two elected county Supervisors of Elections in the state's most heavily-Democratic areas. But it's not just a Florida outrage -- it should be a national one, given that DeSantis has now installed two Republican lackeys to oversee elections in the two most Democratic-leaning areas of the closely divided Sunshine State in advance of the 2020 Presidential election. Their removal is nothing short of an outrageous GOP power-grab.
