On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday that Democrats will now move forward to draw up Articles of Impeachment against Donald J. Trump, saying Trump's recently revealed attempts to undermine the 2020 election by inviting interference from a foreign nation made the historic action necessary.\xa0 We share the sober announcement, the reaction from the White House, and the next steps toward a trial in the U.S. Senate. The Department of Justice announced indictments of two Russian hackers (whereabouts unknown) in one of the largest cybercrime sprees in U.S. history, that used malware phishing schemes to attack organizations in 11 states. Ransomware attacks are on the rise in 2019, particularly those that target critical public services, with at least 70 reported attacks targeting more than 50 cities. Over Thanksgiving, a ransomware attack on a technology services company crippled a company that operates 100+ nursing homes across the nation. Chillingly, on the same day as the nursing home company ransomware attack, the State of Louisiana was also hit -- just two days after the state's recent gubernatorial run-off election. Hundreds of computers at vital state agencies were affected across the state, including the Secretary of State's website. Had the attack come two days earlier, it might have devastated the state's elections \u2013 because Louisiana shamefully requires all voters at the polls to vote on 100% unverifiable touchscreen computer voting systems and use electronic pollbooks. Dozens of states are adopting similar vulnerable computer touchscreen voting systems before the critical 2020 elections. Those systems will be wildly vulnerable next year, where unhackable hand-marked paper ballot systems would not be. Are we insane? Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report'...
