'BradCast' 12/3/2019 (Guest: Constitutional law and impeachment expert John Bonifaz)

On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 The impeachment inquiry action moves to the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, based on the 300-page report released by the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday documenting the serious abuses of power and obstruction of Congress by Donald Trump, that details Trump's attempts to force Ukraine to assist him in his 2020 re-election bid. Constitutional law expert JOHN BONIFAZ, co-founder of Free Speech for People, offers a preview of what to expect in Judiciary's first hearing to determine if Articles of Impeachment are merited against the President, and explains what the framers of\xa0 the Constitution intended when they used the term "high crimes and misdemeanors". Bonifaz is critical of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats for delaying the impeachment inquiry when they took control of the House despite mountains of evidence, and argues there is long list of abuses beyond the Trump-Ukraine scandal that merit Trump's removal. Bonifaz warns that we, the people, must "stay alert, awake and engaged in fighting for our democracy and our Constitution." Also today: a bad day for Trump in the courts, but a good day for the rule of law: a federal appeals court ruled Deutsche Bank and Capital One must turn over subpoenaed Trump-related financial documents to House committees. Federal judge refused to stay her ruling ordering former White House counsel Don McGahn to appear before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee.\xa0 Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, just two months before voting begins in Iowa.
