But the corporate media continues to downplay and falsely portray the GOP's anti-democratic schemes and coronavirus failures as 'both sides' at fault for the nation's massive problems. Political media analyst and author ERIC BOEHLERT of Press Run discusses what he describes as the 'media's defining failure of 2020' - its 'bogus Both Sides narrative' obscuring the Republican Party's utter failed response to the COVID crisis and their obstruction of a long-overdue emergency relief bill for struggling Americans, and the insanity of more than 100 Congressional Republicans signing on to the failed attempt by the Texas state Attorney General to nullify the votes of 20 million Americans in order to steal the election for Donald Trump.
