On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 In the six weeks since billionaire Elon Musk purchased Twitter, his antics and bizarre management decisions have unleashed chaos and a surge of hate-speech and rightwing disinformation on the global social media network, pushing advertisers and users to flee. Musk gave a handful of journalists selective access to internal communications of former executives, but none of the 'Twitter Files' show evidence of political bias against Trump or rightwing figures, as he falsely touted. In recent days, Musk's actions have devolved from dumb to dangerous, like dissolving the company's volunteer Trust and Safety Council. Pseudonymous progressive blogger 'SPOCKO,' a longtime media activist, discusses what he learned when he personally worked with Musk back in the 1990s, and explains actions that people can take to push back against Musk's increasingly threatening behavior and other pressure methods to 'try to reduce potential harm.' Also today:\xa0 Oregon's outgoing Democratic Governor Kate Brown has commuted the death sentences of all 17 prisoners on death row, and ordered the dismantling of the state's execution chamber. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says critical reforms to the Electoral Count Act will be voted on this week, to clarify the poorly-written law and prevent a repeat of Donald Trump's various attempts to exploit it to steal the 2020 election.
