Again, Republican lawmakers and Texas state officials offered "thoughts and prayers" but \u2013 again -- suggested there was little they could do to stop the ongoing epidemic of gun violence in the country. Donald Trump, now on a trip to Asia, claimed guns are not the problem, and blamed \u2018mental health issues' instead -- in stark contrast to the very specific immigration policy proposals he promoted within hours of last week's truck terror attack in New York City.
