'BradCast' 11/3/2017 (Facts v. Frauds)
Among the lies called out and frauds uncovered on today's 'BradCast': After the terror attack in NYC this past week, Donald Trump called for sending the perpetrator to Guantanamo Bay Prison, and then said the U.S. justice system is a "joke" and a "laughing stock"; hours later, the White House denied it. Trump failed to mention the latest mass shooting this week, in which a white shooter killed three Latinos in a suburban Denver Wal-mart; police said the numbers of armed shoppers hampered their ability to identify the perpetrator, who the President has not called to send to Gitmo.\xa0 A new United Nations report finds Puerto Rico is still in desperate need, and criticized FEMA for failing to respond as quickly as it did to hurricane disasters in Florida and Texas.\xa0 A U.S. House Committee canceled a scheduled FEMA oversight hearing this week at which the Mayor of San Juan Carmen Yulin Cruz was to testify, without explanation.\xa0 Hate crimes have spiked nearly 70% since Trump's inauguration, most dramatically since the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.\xa0 Kansas Republican Sec. of State Kris Kobach's so-called Presidential "Election Integrity" Commission has gone missing \u2013 failing to respond to its few Democratic commissioners, Senate Democrats, or to "voter fraud" fraudster Kobach's own hometown paper. Speaking of frauds:\xa0 Republicans have unveiled their tax cut scheme giving massive permanent tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations; their meager, temporary tax cuts for the middle class will ultimately result in a tax increase for middle class families. And who will pay the price for trillions of dollars in GOP deficits?\xa0 Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have some thoughts in answer to that question today. Finally, the White House signed off on the new National Climate Assessment, which finds "no convincing alternative explanation" other than human activities for global warming. So does Donald Trump no longer believe climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese?
