'BradCast' 11/16/2016: (Were vote tabulators rigged for Trump? What we know and don't.)
Brad's back after a minor health scare over the weekend, with a lot to talk about concerning the reported results of last week's election! First up: The difference between fake news and real news and what the hell we can do about it when the fake news is coming from supposedly legitimate corporate news outlets. Next: The awful Republican Governor of North Carolina appears to have lost his re-election bid. He wants a ballot recount, and he is right to demand one. His voters deserve it. Finally: Should Americans have confidence in the reported results of the Presidential election? Explanations for disparities from pre-election polls are not holding up. Voter suppression likely played a role, but what about computer voting and tabulation systems? Were they hacked? Did they fail? Why do the Exit Polls results, once again, differ from the reported election results? And will Americans ever demand that actual hand-marked paper ballots be publicly counted by human beings, instead of by vulnerable computers which often fail and/or report results incorrectly?
