Following Tuesday's truck terror attack in lower Manhattan, President Trump swiftly tweeted his call for immediate policy changes on immigration, including changes to our Constitutional judicial system -- as opposed to his silence on other terror attacks carried out by white perpetrators or perpetrated against Muslims. It's been barely a month since a wealthy white man shot nearly 600 Americans in Las Vegas in a matter of minutes, killing 58 \u2013 but Trump did not describe that shooter as an "animal", as he did today in reference to the alleged perpetrator of the attack in Manhattan on Tuesday, nor did he call for swift policy action.\xa0 Congressional action responding to the Vegas Massacre to ban bumpstock devices has also stalled. A federal court judge has blocked Trump's new policy to ban transgender people from the military, ruling the Trump Administration's directives "do not appear to be supported by any facts". Constitutional law expert IAN MILLHISER of ThinkProgress joins us to explain the ruling,\xa0 and why he sees it\xa0 as evidence that the President is a 'lazy, incompetent and bumbling goon' who does not understand the law or how public policy actually works. Trump's recent ridiculous comments about the stock market and the federal debt -- and his comments today about the Affordable Care Act mandate and tax cuts -- further underscore his virtually complete lack of knowledge about how government and policy actually work.
