Original airdate 11-1-2023. On today's 'BradCast': The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) found that Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson's proposal to 'offset' $14.3 billion in emergency aid to Israel with massive cuts to the budget of the IRS would actually add $12.5 billion to the deficit, and cost the U.S. nearly $27 billion in lost revenue. In Wisconsin, Democratic Governor Tony Evers sued the state's dysfunctional, heavily gerrymandered GOP-controlled state legislature for failing to carry out basic government functions. The death toll in Palestine continues to escalate in the wake of Israel's unrelenting retaliation to Hamas' barbaric terrorist attack on October 7. Yet the horrific news has been made unnecessarily worse by the flood of disinformation on social media, most notably on Elon Musk's rebranded Twitter/X. The European Union has begun to crack down on Musk's failure to moderate the tidal wave of disinformation on Twitter since his takeover. Investigative journalist RUSS BAKER, Editor-in-Chief of non-profit news site Who, What Why, discusses why he describes Musk as 'Chaos Agent Number 1', and potential solutions to counter the tsunami of disinformation amplified by Musk's Twitter.
