On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 In the U.K., another failed Conservative Party Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has resigned after triggering economic chaos, the third P.M. since British voters fell for the dumb, rightwing BREXIT scam. Here in the US, 'conservatives' have succeeded in derailing the US economy a number of times by repeatedly threatening to default on US debt obligations, yet a majority of the American public remains disinformed, falsely believing myths perpetuated by the corporate media that somehow Republicans are better on economic issues than Democrats. Despite an increase in the use of fossil fuels due to Russia's horrific war in Ukraine, the IEA reports that growth in global CO2 emissions from human activity has slowed more than expected thanks to rising use of renewable energy around the world. With critical midterm elections just weeks away, Democrats, progressives and other anti-authoritarians are pushing hard to win over voters and sound the alarm that democracy itself is on the ballot. Veterans' support group VoteVets is targeting Wisconsin's GOP Senator Ron Johnson for his support of the Jan. 6 insurrection. A bone-chilling ad portrays a dystopian future in which women are arrested for obtaining an abortion. But in Florida, that fictional future eerily resembles actual footage of police arresting confused former felons on charges of voting illegally, despite their voter registrations being approved by the state, part of a dystopian political stunt directed by GOP Gov.
