On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 The Biden Administration opened its easy student loan forgiveness program portal at StudentAid.gov, that features a simple, streamlined application. Republicans, of course, are suing to block the program. Some surprising GOP Senate seats appear to be up for grabs. President Biden vowed to codify the Constitutional rights and freedoms previously guaranteed by 'Roe v. Wade' into federal law as his first order of business in January. But doing so will require voters turning out in droves in the Nov. 8 election, in order to hold the Democratic House majority and pick up at least two more Democratic Senators willing to reform the undemocratic Senate filibuster. Then Democrats will finally have the votes to enact laws protecting abortion and privacy rights by federal law, and also defend and expand voting rights, and expand and un-pack the corrupt Supreme Court itself. So much is at stake this year -- Constitutional freedoms, democracy itself, humanity's survival in the climate crisis -- to be distracted by despair.\xa0 It was always going to be an uphill fight this year. It makes no sense to wallow. It does make sense to get to work. To paraphrase Obama, don't boo-hoo! Vote! And make sure everyone else you know does the same! Also today: Special Counsel John Durham, tapped by Donald Trump and former Trump AG Bill Barr to investigate the investigators who investigated Russia's interference in the 2016 election, failed again to obtain a conviction for his bogus charges.
