On today's 'BradCast': While corporate media covers the horse race of elections, we cover the track conditions - - whether voters can access the ballot box and have their vote counted. On the 'track conditions,' the corrupt, stolen-and-packed rightwing U.S. Supreme Court majority ignored precedent and the plain text of the Civil Rights Act to rule that otherwise legitimate absentee ballots with minor technical errors that are 'immaterial' to determining voter qualification must NOT be counted. It's an old Jim Crow-era tactic that could affect the November election. FBI officials say they have identified no credible threats to U.S. election systems this year, despite efforts by some foreign adversaries, including Russia, to sow doubt about fraud. It's unclear if the FBI understands the actual security threats posed by our easily manipulated and error-prone computerized voting and tabulation systems, or recent breaches of election management systems by MAGA conspiracy theorists in several states. FBI Director Christopher Wray falsely downplayed the tsunami of rightwing extremist threats. The Justice Department has begun prosecuting MAGA rightwing extremists who threaten election officials. Democratic Senate candidates Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Wisconsin's Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes delivered verbal debate 'ass-kickings' to their hypocritical, Republican insurrection-supporting opponents, author J.D. Vance and Sen. Ron Johnson. Democrats have a shot at flipping GOP-held Senate seats in PA, OH, WI, NC, and FL. Republicans have a chance to flip two, NV and GA. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report.'
