b'What\\u2019s the dif\\xadfer\\xadence between a First Edi\\xadtion, a Fine Press Edi\\xadtion and an Artists\\u2019 Book? Joshua and Phyl\\xadlis Heller work with me to help define the bound\\xadar\\xadies.\\xa0 \\xa0 The two of them estab\\xadlished Joshua Heller Rare Books, Inc. in Wash\\xading\\xadton DC, in 1985. The com\\xadpany spe\\xadcial\\xadizes in \\u201ccon\\xadtem\\xadpor\\xadary fine print\\xading and beau\\xadti\\xadfully illus\\xadtrated books, the Private Press Move\\xadment, mod\\xadern fine bind\\xadings, and books about books. Joshua has lec\\xadtured widely in the United States and Canada on the art of the book. He helped organ\\xadize the Art of the Con\\xadtem\\xadpor\\xadary Book Con\\xadfer\\xadence at Ohio State Uni\\xadver\\xadsity in 1991, and has: con\\xadtrib\\xaduted art\\xadicles on the Private Press Move\\xadment to journ\\xadals such as Fine Print and Imprint; and cur\\xadated exhib\\xadi\\xadtions of South African botan\\xadical artist Elise Bod\\xadley, both for the Smith\\xadso\\xadnian Museum of Nat\\xadural His\\xadtory and the Audu\\xadbon Soci\\xadety; he also pro\\xadposed the first Wash\\xading\\xadton Artists\\u2019 Book Fair \\u2013 now a bien\\xadnial event; and organ\\xadized the first ever exhib\\xadi\\xadtion of fine mod\\xadern bind\\xadings at the Corcoran Museum of Art in Wash\\xading\\xadton DC in 2003.

I met the Hellers at their home in Wash\\xading\\xadton, D.C. recently.
