Tina Sloan - Staying in the Game
Tina spent 26 years on\xa0The Guiding Light, the famous soap opera on CBS, and was featured on\xa060 Minutes\xa0when the show closed after an historic 75 year run. Tina, then in her 60\u2019s, reinvented herself as an author, playwright and speaker. \xa0Her first book\xa0Changing Shoes\xa0describes how she came to terms with growing older: literally changing shoes from gorgeous high heels to the proverbial black flats. \xa0Her one-woman play also titled\xa0Changing Shoes\xa0toured the US. \xa0Tina has performed in numerous movies including\xa0Black Swan,\xa0Changing Lanes,\xa0as Ben Affleck\u2019s mother,\xa0The Post,\xa0several Woody Allen films as well as others with Al Pacino and Jody Foster. \xa0She has also appeared on TV shows including\xa0Law and Order SVU.\xa0 Her new book, a romantic thriller,\xa0Chasing Cleopatra, is a true page turner and was just released. Tina\xa0lives in Florida with her husband of 45 years and in Maryland very near her son and grandchildren.\xa0 She has run 8 marathons and climbed 20,000 foot peaks in Africa and Nepal.
