Oliver’s sorry he took up all of Tracy’s evening on Monday. Tracy assures him helping her friend is important; she can soon rearrange her social life. She attempts to smooth things over with Jazzer, but he confesses he’s seeing someone else on Saturday. Realising it’s a woman Tracy insists she’s pleased for Jazzer – and it will put an end to all their nonsense won’t it? She’ll see him around. Back at work she has some obvious money saving ideas for Oliver. Oliver’s grateful. Tracy’s eager to help protect people’s livelihoods – including hers! Between them, they’re going to save Grey Gables. Lynda’s had an idea for something special to bring the village together. Robert informs her the Echo wants to do a profile feature on her. It could be an opportunity to promote her idea. Lynda agrees with enthusiasm, only to change her mind when she realises they’d need a photo of her. It seems she’s not ready for this yet. Lynda frets. Will she ever be ready? She’s impatient to feel differently. Robert reassures her. If she’s changed her mind, that’s fine. Nothing diminishes the progress she’s made since the explosion, or her strength. Galvanised, Lynda goes ahead. But she soon realises the journalist, Rebecca, is after a story of a different kind and is majoring on the blame for the explosion. The close questioning is explained by Rebecca as context, but Lynda feels she’s there on false pretences, and won’t be manipulated. Despite Rebecca’s apology and protestations that she was only seeking the truth and to raise awareness, Lynda asks her to leave.
