Tracy’s worried about Oliver. Business at Grey Gables isn’t improving, and he appears distracted. She finds him researching voucher sites. They’ve nothing to lose; he’s very down about the hotel’s reputation. He discloses to sympathetic Tracy that there’s very little time left to salvage the business. He might have to sell within months. Tracy encourages him not to give up, but he wonders what the point is. He was only keeping things going for Caroline’s memory, but that version of Grey Gables has gone forever. They’re interrupted by Tracy’s phone and Oliver lets her go. Jazzer admires Johnny’s new car while he works on it in Tony’s workshop. Johnny apologises to Jazzer over Jade, but Jazzer assures Johnny he’s not interested in her. He has other fish to fry. Jazzer’s astounded and unnerved when Johnny immediately clocks that it’s Tracy Jazzer’s got his sights on. He begs Johnny not to tell anyone. He compares Tracy to a mature, quality single malt – why would you move on before you’ve finished the whole bottle? Jazzer’s invited Tracy for pizza at Greenacres, and is more than a little miffed that Tracy’s running late and might not even make their date. When he hears she has more important business to attend to the bickering turns to a row and ends with them declaring they won’t bother with one another from now on. Jazzer offers Johnny the pizza, and answers a message from Jade. At least with Jade he knows what he’s buying.
