Was The Georgia Veto The End Of The Fight For Religious Liberty?

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, a Republican, vetoed a bill which would have given religious objectors carve-outs for being compelled to provide certain services to LGBT persons. If conservatives think same sex marriage and such religious liberty can coexist, what are they willing to do to enact those protections, short of a law like the one Deal vetoed?
