Every year they\'re able to scientifically determine through math the power of math one new year\'s resolutions fall off and this year\'s January 18. So if there\'s actually some other morbid statistics of drinking water and that\'s another good I\'m I\'m on I\'m on coffee number 3 that\'s one of Michael not really but. My goals are hypertension but. 45 yeah. Your last and went to the dog is it I don\'t know what I don\'t know what is going to be your ailment when you age but right now it\'s not gonna be hypertension is not gonna be it\'s probably something else so. I\'ll tell residents store maybe another time all right so we\'re gonna talk about goal setting today and the I\'m not a big new year\'s resolution guy and I was watching one of my podcast this weekend and a lot of guys are kind of making fun of resolutions it said you know what I\'m not a resolution guy I like reassessment yeah I always thought that was good were you at and let\'s talk about what you assess where you\'re at now we\'re trying to get to and maybe make some course corrections there but you\'re already started on that path right yeah one of things I found fast things when the guys brought up they said you know the 2 biggest goals are lose weight get out of debt and he used to be a deck guide he said you know something like this what do you say that the average American was $30000 in debt or something crazy like that and the at some other statutes kind of rattling off so a lot of people make resolutions I just never get there yep so we\'re gonna talk about goal setting this up an in kind of more general terms but certainly in real estate and up this this year\'s theme. Is 10 houses yeah stupid stupid. So everyone makes this this like all I\'m gonna do this about owner finance do these notes and then I\'m gonna do 10 flips in 6 the inner do all that you know they\'re going to go to the next weapon are and get it there I DO head full of all these ideas that they\'re never gonna be able implement fact there\'s a guy I call them out on Facebook he\'s like here\'s all the books I\'m reading this year and there must have been 50 books and actually there\'s a there\'s a a gift that\'s running around Facebook right now that shows like how to be a man the 50 books you need to read and it\'s like all these nice all this stuff you\'ve heard right and the first question I ask is. How you can implement all that. You\'re gonna get all this knowledge but then what. Like how about you just take one of those books and employment 10 percent of what\'s in it. You\'ll be much further ahead than any of that other crap you\'re gonna read the rest of the year right but you know that kind of falls on deaf ears it\'s you know you don\'t get the the Facebook flex the social media flacks no you don\'t want book yeah yeah I I think working for one deal the problem is. You know fundamentally like you said it\'s it\'s money. It\'s you know 3 things right money it\'s going to be your wealth is going to be your personal traits into relationships those are the 3 big things that people are gonna work on the ship right in the end the reality is is there\'s very few people on this planet that can absolutely do all 3 at once I would even argue that. The just because I mean we\'ve been around so many people for so long and you\'re not gonna have the same conversation with real estate events start when they say wow I can\'t believe you guys bought this building has been so crazy to watch all the growth and I\'m like you do realize you can do the same thing. So the reality is is 99.9 percent of people really are not going to change. We ate myself here but let\'s be honest 90 percent 90 percent some hope give folks a little bit of hope you know I I just when I see that I\'m like you you know how hard it is for human being to change now like it\'s really really hard sort For more information visit mrtxre.com (Copyright Mr. Texas Real Estate)
