People Are Fearful of Success

Welcome show folks chasing Bible Texas real estate radio network here at the Texas real estate investment center in Houston Texas so today show\'s gonna be an interesting show. I was in there this weekend you guys know I read a bunch of books listen to a lot of videos I\'ve become kind of a a junior or. Can I put this in a junior understudy of behavioral psychology and I\'m just fascinated by the. By the study. So always read some sort of books. The nothing real estate related I I don\'t sit there read release I\'d rather write the real estate book then read the real estate book so for me I\'m always looking for something interesting to talk about on the show something that you\'ve not heard before. And I\'ve got an email I wrote this weekend they\'re working on for a day or 2 off and on you know 20 minutes here 30 minutes there. And a lot of real estate people talk about fear. Like fears what\'s keeping you back fear is a D. motivator and I\'m like you know I\'ve never really bought that idea like the only thing I know I do believe in this I do think people are fearful of success. And I\'ll tell you why I think they\'re fearful of success because once you start becoming successful you don\'t have any excuses. And that\'s where things get scary for people. And it doesn\'t necessarily have to be in real estate can be and some other aspect your life. At some point you just can\'t make excuses anymore. Are you can\'t but you\'ve got to own it. I talked about this in a previous show where once you have an ideal then it becomes your judge. And I get it it\'s 2021 we\'re not supposed to talk about judging people are judging ourselves but you can\'t be successful that it\'s impossible so you have to have ideals. And once you have these ideals in place then they become a judge of your activity and your results. So when we get into fear you know you hear this like fear fear is false evidence appearing real I\'m I am okay. But I really I\'m I\'m like the Y. guy these days I\'m like why do you say that why do you believe that to be true. And I think what we really have a problem with. Is faith. I was in there this weekend and our master mind group. And there were a little over a third of the folks there hello 20 folks 1520 folks. And so rob goes around the room and says Hey guys up how much of your closed in the last 90 days. So he collectively got everybody in the room except for he and I. And rode up on the board how much they closed. It was about 10.4000000. For 20 people now we got some folks in there to do some room I mean big volume so keep that in mind that kind of skews the average a little bit. And they have about $4000000 in equity so not bad for a group of about 20 people. But the most startling thing I noticed. Is how much some people have changed in the last 90 days. And I\'m convinced you can\'t change unless you go do something. So you probably heard this before the best journeys. Are the ones that change you.
