Entering self-quarantine on suspicions of COVID-19, I've separated from my kid once again who is in Japan.  I will see if I can get back after a month, if things settle and I can resolve my "cold-like symptoms."  But my presence there was a risk because anytime we met, it would be in a crowded area like the mall or restaurant and with me feeling a bit "off," I felt it was best to just take a 1-month hiatus to re-evaluate the situation.  There are too many unknowns and when you don't know what you don't know, it's time to de-risk.

The stock market drop is concerning, and I make some recommendations for hedging into cash, bonds, and gold.  In the end though, it is only money -- remember your other assets like health, time, youth, and relationships.

Oftentimes, it is the smallest stupidest decisions that make the biggest impacts in one's life.
